Life on Harcourt Road
Spring Clean
The Spring Clean is our own interpretation of the Love Where You Live campaign which went before it - we want to encourage all residents to take pride in Harcourt Road, so use this opportunity to spruce up the area, and have a good time along the way – the Spring Clean is often followed by a BBQ and drinks as a reward for our efforts!!
Autumn Street Party
Held in October since 2011, the Autumn Street party is an opportunity for old and new residents to meet up and get to know each other better. Harcourt Road has a considerable musical talent, so we encourage people to bring along their instruments to play along! We also use this as an opportunity to show-off our home-baking skills, as well as having sports and games for those with a more competitive nature!
Bonfire and Fireworks
A long established Harcourt Road tradition is the annual Bonfire and Fireworks party. We come together each year to share good food and drink, sparklers for the kids, a bonfire like no other and of course a display of fireworks against the backdrop of Crookes Valley park.
Book Group
Harcourt Road has a monthly meeting of a book group, where residents will take turns to host and discuss the book of the month – as well as an opportunity to have a good catch-up, natter and glass of wine or two!!
Christmas Carol Singing
No local community would be complete without getting in the festive mood with some Christmas Carols and mince pies, and we are no exception!
